Senior Data Scientist
Permanent Position
Location: Kowlooon
Key Responsibilities
Machine learning & analytics solution delivery
Design, build, and deploy data/analytics models that support Retails decisions (e.g., performance diagnosis, segmentation, forecasting, uplift/impact measurement, ranking/recommendation where relevant).
- Drive end-to-end delivery: problem framing → data requirements → modeling → validation → rollout → monitoring → iteration, with clear definitions of success metrics and adoption.
- Continuously monitor and improve model performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments (data quality, drift, retraining/refresh cadence).
Generative AI literacy & application
- Demonstrate solid understanding of GenAI/LLM fundamentals and failure modes (prompting, context limits, hallucination risk, retrieval/RAG patterns, evaluation and guardrails).
- Collaborate with LLM developers/MLEs to apply GenAI where it improves the Cat Man workflow (e.g., insight summarization, NL-to-SQL/agent-assisted analytics, RAG over category documents), with measurable quality and governance.
Business partnership & delivery accuracy
- Work closely with Business stakeholders to confirm requirements, validate assumptions, interpret results correctly, and ensure delivery matches real decision workflows.
- Communicate trade-offs clearly (speed vs accuracy, complexity vs maintainability), and proactively manage scope, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Mentor junior team members and raise delivery standards (documentation, testing discipline, experiment rigor).
⸻
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science / applied machine learning, with proven delivery of end-to-end analytics/ML solutions in real-world or production environments.
- Working knowledge of GenAI/LLM systems (RAG, evaluation, guardrails) and ability to explain how/why the system behaves.
- Strong proficiency in Python; strong SQL and data-wrangling skills.
- Experience with model deployment, optimization, and monitoring (CI/CD, versioning, performance tracking, incident handling).
- Strong stakeholder management skills: able to lead ambiguous projects, align metrics, and drive delivery with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
