We are partnering with a leading Financial Services & Insurance organisation seeking an AI Governance Lead to help shape and oversee AI governance across multiple business and technology departments.

This is a senior role focused on building governance frameworks, policies, controls, and operating models to ensure AI is adopted responsibly, securely, and in line with enterprise, regulatory, risk, and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, standards, and policies
• Define controls and processes for responsible AI use across the organisation
• Partner with business, technology, data, risk, compliance, legal, and security teams
• Support governance across AI, GenAI, LLM, ML, automation, and intelligent workflow use cases
• Ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise risk, regulatory, data privacy, security, and compliance requirements
• Establish review, approval, monitoring, and reporting processes for AI solutions
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on AI risk, ethics, model governance, and responsible AI adoption

Requirements

• 8+ years’ relevant experience in governance, risk, compliance, technology governance, data governance, model governance, or a related area
• Exposure to AI, GenAI, ML, model risk, data science, or emerging technology governance
• Strong understanding of enterprise governance frameworks, policies, controls, and operating models
• Experience working across complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to translate regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements into practical governance processes
• Strong communication skills with both technical and senior business audiences
• Financial Services or Insurance experience is beneficial, but not essential
