Application Support Analyst – Equities & Derivatives Trading - $45-60k P/M

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their Front Office Trading Support team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years’ experience in trading support who wants to deepen their exposure across cash and derivatives markets.

Role Overview
You will support mission-critical Equities & Derivatives trading applications across APAC markets, ensuring stability, performance, and seamless operations for front-office users. This is a hands-on technical role involving troubleshooting, production support, automation, and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line support for Equities & Derivatives trading systems on Windows/Linux
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues for traders and operations teams
  • Manage daily production incidents, user requests, and escalation to development teams
  • Perform QA testing, deployments, and system upgrades
  • Monitor system health, performance, and connectivity; resolve issues proactively
  • Follow ITIL processes for incident and change management
  • Create and maintain system documentation
  • Participate in morning/lunch shifts, with occasional weekend/holiday work
  • Contribute to automation and resilience improvements to enhance system uptime

Skills & Experience Required

  • 1–2 years’ experience in trading support or application support within financial markets
  • Strong understanding of cash and derivatives products and market rules
  • Solid technical skills in Linux/Unix, Python, Shell scripting, and Excel/VBA
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and network protocols (TCP, UDP, FIX)
  • Strong analytical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-facing skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Fluent in English, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
