HR Manager / Assistant Manager (Operations)
Location: Singapore
About the Role
An established retail entertainment organization with a strong regional footprint is seeking a hands-on HR professional to manage end-to-end HR operations and support business growth across multiple operational sites.
This role partners closely with business leaders to drive workforce planning, ensure operational excellence, and maintain compliance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including high-volume hiring for operational roles
- Partner stakeholders on manpower planning and pipeline development
- Drive efficient onboarding and employee integration
HR Operations & Payroll
- Oversee payroll processing with vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain employee records, attendance, and HR systems
- Ensure adherence to statutory and internal HR requirements
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a trusted HR point of contact for employee matters
- Manage grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution
- Drive engagement initiatives and retention efforts
Performance Management
- Support performance cycles including goal setting, reviews, and confirmations
- Partner managers on development plans and performance improvement cases
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local employment regulations and internal policies
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support policy enhancements
- Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyse key HR metrics (hiring, attrition, attendance, payroll)
- Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions
HR Administration
- Support day-to-day HR operations, onboarding logistics, and internal initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field
- 8–10 years of HR experience, including 3–4 years in a managerial capacity
- Proven experience in high-volume hiring within fast-paced, operational environments
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience in multi-site environments (e.g., retail, hospitality, F&B) preferred
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in lean teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll processes, and HR analytics
