Cloud Delivery Lead (6-months Contract)

Company / Role Overview

This position oversees the delivery of a large-scale cloud transformation initiative involving several concurrent technical workstreams. The role requires guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinating with external delivery partners, and managing executive-level stakeholder expectations. Working within a structured governance environment, the Delivery Lead balances traditional project planning with Agile execution to ensure secure, compliant, and seamless progression from build to operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end delivery across multiple parallel technical workstreams.

· Manage cross-functional teams comprising engineers, QA, security, and data specialists.

· Serve as the primary interface for senior stakeholders, providing clear updates and direction.

· Apply hybrid delivery practices combining structured planning with iterative sprint cycles.

· Oversee risks, issues, dependencies, budget management, and overall delivery health.

· Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit standards throughout the project lifecycle.

· Coordinate UAT activities and manage the transition into operational and maintenance phases.

Job Requirements

· Over 10 years of experience leading complex, multi-stream technology projects.

· Strong track record managing diverse technical delivery teams and external vendors.

· Proficiency in Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

· Confident managing senior stakeholder relationships in high-visibility environments.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD concepts, and security frameworks.

· Professional certifications or experience in regulated/public-sector environments are an advantage.
