Data Engineer / Insurance/ $55-75k P/M

6 month extendable contract

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our clients team. This role will focus on building robust data pipelines, designing scalable data models, and working across multiple cloud environments to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data models
• Develop ETL pipelines to convert complex datasets into standardised formats (JSON, tabular, etc.)
• Integrate and transform data from diverse structured and unstructured sources
• Leverage cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, Databricks) for large-scale data processing
• Produce mapping documents and provide technical guidance to development teams
• Manage data versioning, identifiers, and code system translations

Required Skills:

• 8–11 years of experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Hands-on experience with data transformation tools (Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
• Solid expertise in SQL, Python, and JSON data handling
• Strong understanding of data modelling and integration best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data migration between different cloud environments
• Familiarity with role-based access control in data platforms
• Background in implementing analytics and reporting solutions
