Company / Role Overview
The successful candidate will take ownership of the SAP environment in a lean, in-house setup, acting as the primary point of accountability for system stability, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements. This is a hands-on role requiring direct involvement in migration validation, troubleshooting, and business support, with close interaction across finance and operational stakeholders. The position requires an individual who can operate independently, challenge external vendors where needed, and ensure the system is fit-for-purpose for business use.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of SAP B1 implementation, including ongoing UAT, issue resolution, and post-migration stabilisation
- Validate data integrity during and after migration, ensuring accuracy between source and target systems before user rollout
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues internally where possible, minimising reliance on external vendors
- Work closely with business users (particularly finance) to understand requirements and ensure system alignment with operational workflows
- Engage and coordinate with external vendors, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, validated, and delivered correctly
- Support future system enhancements, including additional ERP functionalities, POS integration, and CRM initiatives
- Generate and support reporting requirements, including basic financial and operational performance analysis where required
- Provide guidance on system-related risks, including data handling and compliance considerations (e.g. PDPA/GDPR awareness)
Job Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1), including implementation, migration, or system support
- Strong understanding of ERP data flows, with the ability to validate migration outputs and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Experience supporting finance-related modules (e.g. AP, AR, GL) within ERP systems — preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to operate independently in a lean environment, taking ownership of issues from identification through to resolution
- Experience working with external vendors, with the ability to challenge, clarify, and drive accurate delivery
- Strong problem-solving capability, with a focus on practical and workable solutions rather than theoretical approaches
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to financial reporting/analysis, and understanding of data protection or cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. PDPA/GDPR)
