FS/Sr.Java Developer/80-95K per month/12 month (extendable)

Job Title: Senior Java Developer - PWM

Location: Hong Kong

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

Monthly Salary: 80,000 – 95,000 HKD

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Java 11/17 and Spring Boot.
• Modernize core accounting engines into event-driven microservices to support global data streams.
• Optimize data-intensive systems handling complex portfolio valuations, accruals, and performance calculations.
• Collaborate with global engineering hubs to ensure seamless integration across the PWM ecosystem.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience: 7-10 years in Java-based backend engineering within Financial Services.
• Core Tech: Deep expertise in Core Java (Multithreading/Concurrency), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Data: Strong SQL skills (DB2 or Sybase) and experience with distributed data models.
• Architecture: Proven experience with Microservices and Design Patterns (OOP).
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Advantageous Skills:

• Knowledge of Portfolio/General Ledger workflows.
• Exposure to Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or NoSQL databases.
