Head of UX / FS / $1.4M
We’re hiring a Head of UX
to lead the enterprise design function for a major organisation operating across financial services.
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced UX/UI leader who can define design strategy, build strong design standards, and lead a high-performing team delivering intuitive, customer-centred digital experiences across multiple products and platforms.
You’ll be responsible for shaping the UX vision, evolving a unified design system, embedding research-led design practices, and ensuring consistent, accessible and high-quality user experiences across agile product squads.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining UX strategy
- Leading and mentoring a team of UI/UX designers, researchers and service design specialists
- Building and evolving a consistent design system and design language
- Embedding UX research, usability testing, journey design and rapid prototyping into product delivery
- Allocating design capability into agile squads based on roadmap priorities
- Running design governance, UX reviews, accessibility standards and component consistency
- Championing customer-first, insight-led design across Product, Engineering and senior stakeholder groups
We’re looking for someone with:
- 10+ years’ experience in UX, UI, product design or digital experience
- 5+ years’ experience leading design teams
- A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design strategy and delivery
- Experience working in agile squads or product-led digital environments
- Strong knowledge of Figma, design systems, UX research, journey mapping and usability testing
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and raise design maturity across an enterprise environment
