Java Developer GCP / Financial Services / 85k /12-Month Extendable Contract

Join a leading global bank to contribute to the development of an in-house system for FX Options risk and lifecycle management, collaborating with trading, quants, operations, and technology teams in a DevSecOps environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver high-quality solutions for front office applications supporting FX Options trading
• Work closely with the project lead, product owner, and front office stakeholders to meet business needs
• Contribute across development, security, and operations in a DevSecOps model
• Collaborate with trading, quants, operations, and risk technology peers on multi-year investment projects
• Ensure continuous integration and delivery through Agile/DevOps practices

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working on front office applications supporting a trading business
• Proven Java development skills, with familiarity in Spring and Spring Boot
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in DevOps/Agile methodologies, including continuous integration and delivery
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple requests
• Enthusiasm for collaborating in a global, multicultural team
• Full stack engineering experience (highly beneficial)
• Experience with observability stacks for metrics and tracing (highly beneficial)
• Programming skills in additional languages such as JS, C++, Scala, or scripting (highly beneficial)
• Knowledge of the FX options market and operations (highly beneficial)
