Company / Role Overview
This opportunity sits within a regional infrastructure and production engineering team supporting a large, globally distributed enterprise environment. The role focuses on the design, administration, and continuous improvement of on-premise Active Directory services and identity infrastructure within a highly secure, complex, and multi-region setup. The successful candidate will work closely with global counterparts to ensure stability, scalability, and resilience of core directory services, while contributing to ongoing transformation and standardisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise Active Directory environments, including multiple forest structures and domain configurations
- Administer core AD components such as Domain Controllers, Group Policy, DNS, replication, and directory services architecture
- Oversee identity-related platforms including cloud directory integration and synchronisation services
- Contribute to infrastructure projects such as directory consolidation, security tiering, and architecture enhancements
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (primarily PowerShell) for provisioning, auditing, and operational efficiency
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution for directory services, including restoration and incident response coordination
- Perform monitoring, auditing, and log analysis to ensure system integrity and compliance
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives such as system integrations, onboarding/offboarding processes, and regulatory alignment
Job Requirements
Must-Have:
- Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise Active Directory environments (L2/L3 level)
- Solid knowledge of AD infrastructure components (DNS, GPO, replication, domain controllers)
- Experience with identity platforms and directory synchronisation (e.g. hybrid identity setups)
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, auditing, and operational tasks
- Exposure to infrastructure-level security concepts within AD (e.g. access control models, tiering)
- Experience operating in large-scale, distributed, and high-availability environments
- Ability to support production systems with strong operational discipline and documentation practices
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with AD-related tooling for auditing, health checks, or remediation
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning for directory services
- Familiarity with identity governance or privileged access concepts
- Experience working in global teams across multiple regions
