Maintenance Engineer – Packing Machine (Dairy manufacturing)

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of packing Machine reliability within a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth operations by driving preventive maintenance, minimizing downtime, and improving overall equipment efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in packing machines, particularly shrink wrap, and a proactive mindset in identifying improvements and solving operational challenges. Experience in dairy manufacturing, especially UHT processes, will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for packing machines(e.g., shrink wrap, case packing, sealing)
• Execute routine inspections, servicing, and corrective maintenance to ensure stable machine performance and product quality
• Review and continuously improve maintenance procedures, standards, and checklists

2. Production Support & Technical Expertise

• Collaborate closely with production to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of packing lines
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for machine breakdowns and performance issues
• Share knowledge and coach technicians and operators to strengthen technical capability on the shopfloor

3. Maintenance System & Reporting

• Manage maintenance activities through SAP, ensuring accurate recording of work orders, labor hours, and material usage
• Maintain and update preventive maintenance plans and equipment master data in the system

4. Continuous Improvement & Cost Efficiency

• Drive initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime and improve line efficiency (OEE)
• Optimize spare parts planning to ensure availability while controlling inventory cost
• Identify and lead cost-saving and reliability improvement projects

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance of packing machines within dairy manufacturing, exposure to UHT milk or dairy industry is an advantage
• Strong hands-on experience in shrink wrap machines is highly preferred
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to coach and develop technician teams
• Good command both Thai and English
