Role Overview:
This contract role supports a major operational migration initiative within a regional investment management environment. The Operations Analyst will work as part of a project team responsible for transitioning operational and data activities from an existing setup to a new service provider. The role focuses on analysing, cleansing, validating, and reconciling operational data while helping to define future-state processes and ensure operational readiness for a new operating model.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support business and data migration activities across transactional, market, reporting, and reference data domains.
· Perform detailed data analysis, cleansing, standardisation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
· Design and execute test scenarios and scripts covering operational workflows such as trades, corporate actions, reconciliations, and reporting.
· Support UAT, model office, and pilot testing phases, including issue identification, validation, and resolution tracking.
· Conduct as-is and to-be process analysis, developing future-state process maps and standard operating procedures.
· Gather and validate requirements from business stakeholders using structured analysis approaches.
· Liaise with service providers to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and ensure operational alignment.
· Provide ad-hoc analytical and documentation support to project workstreams as required.
Key Requirements:
Must-have:
· Degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations within the asset management industry.
· Strong understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle processes and operational controls.
· Proven experience in data analysis, reconciliation, and operational change or migration initiatives.
· Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within small, collaborative teams.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
Nice-to-have:
· Exposure to investment accounting or portfolio management platforms.
· Knowledge of basic programming or scripting (e.g. R or Python) for data analysis.
· Experience documenting processes using standard notations and supporting future operating model design.
