Role Overview:

A leading regional organisation is seeking a Power BI Developer to support its technology transformation function. The role sits within the central transformation office and focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level reporting solutions. The position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, data teams, and project managers to deliver accurate, high-quality dashboards and data models that support decision-making across ongoing transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting assets.
  • Partner with business users and project teams to gather, refine, and validate reporting requirements.
  • Build and optimise ETL workflows and data pipelines using MS SQL within a cloud-based environment.
  • Integrate and model data from Jira and other enterprise platforms into a unified reporting environment.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across delivered reporting solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues, including DAX query optimisation.
  • Support project activities through ad-hoc analysis, data validation, and reporting enhancements.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
  • Strong understanding of Jira data structures and experience integrating Jira data into analytics solutions.
  • Proven proficiency in MS SQL, including complex querying, stored procedures, and data transformation.
  • Prior experience in the insurance sector (must-have).
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results within defined project timelines.
    Experience working within a Google Cloud Platform environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and data quality practices.
