We are partnering with a high-performing investment fund to hire a Data Engineer as part of a strategically critical data platform build. This is an opportunity to work at the core of a business where data directly drives investment decisions, performance, and competitive edge.

The Opportunity

This fund is continuing to invest heavily in its data and technology capabilities, viewing data as a first-class asset rather than a support function. As a Data Engineer, your work will sit close to front-office analytics, research, and decision-making, with real visibility and impact.

You will help shape scalable, production-grade data infrastructure used by investment professionals, analysts, and senior stakeholders — not just dashboards, but mission-critical systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and owning high-quality ETL pipelines that power investment and research workflows
• Developing data processing solutions using Python and PySpark across large and complex datasets
• Writing optimized SQL for analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption
• Working within a modern cloud-based data platform
• Partnering closely with engineers, quants, and analysts in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Ensuring reliability, scalability, and data integrity across core platforms

What They’re Looking For

• 4–8 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL design and development
• Advanced Python skills
• Proven experience with PySpark / Spark
• Excellent SQL capability
• Experience working in cloud environments(AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Comfortable working in environments where data accuracy and speed truly matter
