Senior Process Engineer (Production)

Location: Kalasin

The Senior Process Engineer (Production) is accountable for leading hygienic design and process engineering excellence within the plant. This role ensures all production processes, equipment, and systems meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The position focuses on process optimization, troubleshooting, and EHSSQ compliance while embedding hygienic design principles as the foundation of safe and efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Hygienic Design Leadership

  • Act as the site expert in hygienic design, ensuring all new equipment, modifications, and processes comply with hygienic engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, Production, Maintenance) to ensure hygienic design is applied in all projects.
  • Lead assessments and validation of equipment installation, cleaning systems (CIP/SIP), and facility layouts for hygienic risk control.

Process Optimization & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot complex production and equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and product quality compliance.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to deliver higher yield, throughput, and energy efficiency while maintaining hygienic standards.
  • Partner with Production and Engineering to execute corrective and preventive actions.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure full compliance with EHSSQ (Environment, Health, Safety, Security, Quality) standards.
  • Support audits, inspections, and certifications, providing expert input on hygienic design and process compliance.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation to meet regulatory and internal quality system requirements.

Project & Technical Support

  • Lead or support capital expenditure projects with strong focus on hygienic design and food safety requirements.
  • Drive scale-up, commissioning, and validation of new technologies or processes.
  • Collaborate with R&D, QA, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless implementation of projects.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost savings, waste reduction, and enhanced process reliability.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Coach and train plant staff on hygienic design and process optimization best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of process/production engineering experience in food & beverage, fine chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Hygienic design of processes, equipment, and facilities (must-have).
    • Plant troubleshooting and process optimization.
    • EHSSQ compliance and food safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with data-driven decision-making.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
