Solutions Architect/Insurance/6 months/Cantonese/70-75K HKD P/M

As a Java Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in evaluating the requirements of business projects and conceptualizing product- or service-based solutions that fulfill them. You will lead the technical vision, ensuring that Java-based enterprise applications are scalable, performant, and seamlessly integrated within cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Design and implement scalable and cost-effective cloud/hybrid solutions that meet project requirements and organizational goals. Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and project plans.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with the enterprise, solution, cloud Architecture, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Engineering team members.

• Project Management: Lead and manage cloud architecture projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Develop and track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

• Security and Compliance: Work closely with the Information Security team to ensure that all solutions adhere to security best practices, compliance standards, and data protection regulations. Identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

• Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud platforms, tools, and technologies based on project needs and organizational objectives. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud trends and technologies.

• Integration Management: Ensure the successful integration of cloud-based solutions with existing on-premises infrastructure and applications. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring that solutions provided by them meet expectations.

Skillset

• Minimum 10 years of application/infrastructure design experience, in particular 3 years of being a Solution Architect of medium to large size project implementations.

• Sound knowledge of IT application architecture, design, and methodologies across multiple cloud-based platforms.

• Expertise in large and/or complex system integration projects.

• Solid experience in application architecture modelling, data architecture modelling, and solution portfolio management.

• Expertise in APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA), Event-driven Architecture (EDA), Programming Languages like Java, JavaScript, UI technology like Angular, Hybrid mobile frameworks like Capacitor, Reporting technology Jasper Report, DevSecOps, and Observability & Monitoring platforms. Experience in Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).

• Experience in Health Insurance technology.

• Ability to deliver technical specifications and architecture specifications.

• Vendor management skills to get the best solutions and proposals from vendors.

• Solid experience in Agile delivery methodology and DevOps.

• Should have a good grip on non-functional areas like information security, performance, scalability studies, data privacy, etc.

• Good presentation and communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.

• With insurance/healthcare industrial background will be an advantage.

• Knowledge of infrastructure and security architecture will be an advantage.

• Fluent in English and Cantonese communications.
