Sr Food Innovation Manager (R&D)

Location: Bangkok

The Sr Food Innovation Manager will lead the charge in identifying and developing the next generation of food products. This critical role requires a unique blend of Research & Development (R&D) technical mastery and profound expertise in Consumer Insight translation.

You will manage the innovation pipeline from early-stage ideation through to commercial readiness, ensuring that every product is both scientifically sound and deeply resonates with evolving consumer needs, market trends, and brand strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate Consumer Insights into R&D Briefs: Act as the primary link between Marketing/Consumer Insights teams and R&D. Proactively identify unmet consumer needs, emerging market trends (e.g., sustainability, health, convenience), and white-space opportunities to generate new product ideas.
  • Product Development: Lead the complete New Product Development (NPD) process from concept ideation and prototype development to pilot trials and full-scale commercialization.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in existing product formulations, ingredient sourcing, and manufacturing processes to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve nutritional profiles.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the technical project leader, coordinating with Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Finance to ensure seamless and timely product launches.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage the innovation budget, resources, and timelines across multiple complex R&D projects simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Research & Development (R&D) or New Product Development (NPD) within the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Proven, hands-on experience and demonstrable strength in utilizing Consumer Insights(qualitative and quantitative research) to drive and shape product innovation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Good command both Thai and English
